Account information you provide when you create an account. Files you upload to your Database. Usage telemetry tied to your account for the purpose of billing and improving the product. We do not collect anything outside of these three categories.
On Australian infrastructure, encrypted at rest with AES 256 and in transit with TLS 1.3. Your files, your conversations, and the core AI that reads them stay in Australia.
A small number of features send limited data to providers outside Australia. To make your documents searchable, their text is sent to our search indexing provider. When you use web research, a sanitised query is sent to our web search provider, with client identifiers and large dollar amounts removed first. Billing and the emails we send are handled by overseas providers. We do not send your documents or client data to run a web search. These providers are listed in our Data Processing terms.
The named users on your firm’s account. The agent operates on your data on your behalf, scoped to your firm, your Job, and your user credential. Halo employees can access support tickets you raise. We do not browse customer data outside of explicit support requests.
For the life of your account, plus seven years for records associated with regulated work. On request, we will delete account data within thirty days of cancellation, subject to any legal hold.
